Up and Coming Events
CROATIA 23rd - 30th August 2008
This will be our groups first international camp and what a camp it is going to be. The 301 group and Spitfire Explorers, 36 of us in total are going for a week of watersports in sunny Croatia. We will be doing a lot of fundraising for this camp and are grateful of all the help you are giving us.
Patrol Camp 2nd - 4th May 2008
This camp will be at Beaudesert and Luke is organising it. This will be a camp where you will be working in your patrols and sixes doing a variety of different activities and challenges. Letters will be out soon and if you want to come you need to get your form and deposit back asap.
Parents Camp 13th - 15th June 2008
This camp will be at Blackwell Court and Sherina is organising it (God help us). As the name implies this is a camp for parents to come to. We have a yearly competition of Kids v Parents. We have now done 5 parent camps over the last 5 years and the score is 3 - 2 to the kids and the kids won last year. So parents you need to try really hard this year. Kids you know the parents are old and cant keep up with the pace anymore so go easy on them :) If you are brave enough to do it get your name on the list as soon as the letters are out. Do not miss out on the infamous WATERSLIDE. Kids please remember you are only allowed to come on this camp if your parents come too.
Camp 18th - 20th July 2008
This camp is been organised by Mr Mundy and no one including Mundy has any idea what we are doing or where we are going :) we will update this as soon as Mundy lets us know.
Parents Evening Thursday 9th October 2008
This is a normal beaver, cub and scout evening which parents are invited to come to and join in everything we do. Please put this date into your diary.
Halloween Camp 31st October - 2nd November 2008
This is a new camp for us but one we have been wanting to do for a long time. The theme of this camp will be halloween so we needed a leader who had no fear to organise it. However we were only left with Terry and he is scared of his own shadow so who knows what will happen. This camp shoud be a great laugh :)
Christmas Camp 28th - 30th November 2008
This is our anual christmas camp at Broadwater and is always a great camp. Parents are welcome to come out on the Saturday so put this date in your diary now. Kids this is your last chance to win points for the year can the Reds and the Bulldogs be beaten?
Fundraising Events 2008
- Sponsored Swim 21st February 2008 - This was a great event with everyone trying thier best and doing as many lengths as they could well done and thank you to everyone who took part.
- 17th May 2008 Quiz Night St Thomas Church Garretts Green Lane Garretts Green opens at 7pm and the quiz starts at 7.30pm.
